So here we are again, at the start of a new academic year. For many a source of much excitement, and, for others, a source of much anxiety.

On feeling empowered
I’m not sure exactly when it happens, it’s some time after the feeling of being validated, you wake up and you feel empowered. It’s the culmination of many things. You have the knowledge, you know what you know, and you know what you don’t know and, importantly, you now know how to find out.
Falling through the cracks
“I think I fall into a lot of cracks in terms of I'm too something. I'm too this, I'm too that. And my music has never really had a home. I've been this floating alternative. I'm too mainstream for an alternative. I'm too alternative for the mainstream. And I'm just kind of wandering.”
