SENLightened

It's been a busy year, on top of supporting multiple families to secure the right support for their children in school, many of whom were transitioning to secondary education, I've been working on a podcast.

I'm delighted to announce that the first episode is live today and you can listen to it on your favourite podcast platform, Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Amazon Music, Stitcher, Google Podcasts etc. Take a listen to the trailer and episode 1 in which Esther shares her story of support and acceptance.

KENT PACT Launch

Yesterday I attended the launch of Kent PACT (Parents and Carers Together). A registered Charity it is working with Kent County Council at a strategic level to improve provision for children with SEND. It was a useful event to get insight into some of the changes that are happening in the local authority. And it sounds as if things are beginning to change for the better. To find out more and join check them out on Facebook (1) Kent PACT - Parents and Carers Together | Facebook or visit their website https://www.kentpact.org.uk/

All Local Authorities are required to have a strategic partner, and they are able to advocate on your behalf with the local authority, so it is worth looking up and joining the relevant organisation in your area.
